Court of Protection and Deputyship

If it is not possible to make a Lasting Power of Attorney (because of lack of capacity) then it may be necessary for a close family member or friend to apply to the Court of Protection to become a Deputy so as to be able to manage the affairs of a person who cannot make financial (and less frequently care) decisions themselves.
